Add any logo or packaging changes and your timing. A budget range is useful if you have one; an exact specification is not required for the first conversation.

• The first review identifies missing information and the supplier, sample or quotation work your project needs.
• Confirm the proposed work, service fees and exclusions before paid sourcing or sample work begins.
• Request dated product references and a quotation showing the sample charge and its deduction against the subsequent order.
• Ask for separate product, decoration, packaging, sample, service, inspection and freight lines, with destination costs and exclusions stated.

Wholesale, private label or custom makeup brushes: choose your route

Smaller orders usually start with ready-stock designs. A photo is enough to begin checking available options; adding a logo or changing the brush or pack needs a separate review. We confirm the route with the factory before quoting the selected brush, quantity and presentation.

• Ready-stock makeup brushes: send the brush or set reference and quantity. Small quantities may be available, with stock and the minimum confirmed for that style.
• Private label makeup brushes: start with an existing design and specify your logo, print or engraving position, handle finish and branded packaging. Confirm decoration samples and each colour or packaging minimum.
• Custom makeup brushes: changes to the head shape, filament or handle may require development work. Ask suppliers to confirm feasibility, sample rounds, tooling charges and production minima before comparing prices.
• Request separate sample, product, pouch or box, decoration and domestic freight lines. State your selling channel and target price tier so suppliers quote a comparable specification.

Face brush materials, density and sample checks

A foundation brush, powder brush and kabuki brush can look similar in a catalogue while applying differently. Specify the intended use and compare samples side by side. Record the head dimensions, filament description, ferrule fit and handle finish so the approved reference can guide the later inspection.

• Agree how shedding, loose ferrules, glue marks and visible finish defects will be checked.
• Confirm whether a material description refers to the whole brush or only one component.

Eye brush sets: keep the individual shapes visible

For blending, shading, liner and brow brushes, a small tip difference changes the product. Keep a labelled reference for every brush in the assortment and agree how size and shape differences are evaluated. Review logo placement on narrow handles as well as on the larger face brushes.

Travel sets, pouches and retail presentation

Check the complete packed set, including cap clearance, pouch closure and the way brush heads are protected. Approve decoration and barcode placement on the actual pack. Ask the supplier to confirm packed dimensions before estimating freight or comparing carton quantities.

Makeup sponges and powder puffs in the same buying file

Keep brushes, sponges and puffs as separate line items even when sold in a gift set. They may come from different suppliers and have different sample or packaging minima. For sponges, agree the dry and damp sample observations relevant to your intended use. For puffs, compare the surface, shape and strap or grip construction.

Sample approval, carton planning and repeat orders

Send the brush functions or reference photos, quantities, brand changes, destination and launch date. Keep a numbered sample record with comparison photos, dimensions, agreed observations and approval revisions. For replenishment, confirm whether the same SKU, materials and pack remain available; retain the accepted reference for the next quotation.

• MOQ varies with the brush, decoration, colour split and packaging; there is no universal small-order promise.
• Download the blank sample approval CSV to record identifiers, agreed comparison methods, observations and decisions. Fill it with your actual sample evidence; it is not a completed inspection report or a product certification.
• Sample development is quoted for the single brush or set and the changes required. Record the fee and its deduction from the subsequent order in the quotation.
• Record units per carton, packed dimensions and gross weight before estimating container space. Initial quantities can remain approximate until packing is confirmed.
• Choose transport for the destination and timing. Custom bulk orders commonly use sea freight; air freight can be discussed for the particular shipment. Confirm costs separately.
