Shipping rate planning from China

China shipping rates are useful only after the cargo file is controlled.

Treat every freight estimate as a planning signal, not a final price. Aeonix connects carton data, gross and volumetric weight, supplier terms, QC timing, consolidation, and landed-cost targets before a buyer approves payment or inventory.

Chargeable weight is not the product weight

Rates change when carton dimensions, volumetric weight, gross weight, packing method, and destination handling are known.

The quote needs carton evidence

Supplier screenshots are weak until carton count, dimensions, gross/net weight, SKU mix, labels, and packing list inputs are checked.

Freight terms change the buyer risk

EXW, FOB, DDP, courier, air, rail, and sea freight shift who controls pickup, customs, insurance, duties, and release timing.

Shipping choice belongs in the sourcing file

A good rate decision connects supplier quote, MOQ, sample approval, QC timing, carton data, and landed-cost target before payment.

Estimated lanes

Use rates to screen the route, then verify with real carton data.

The ranges below are planning references. The quote becomes decision-grade only when the sourcing file includes measured cargo, freight terms, customs responsibility, and release gates.

Notes:

  • Rates are estimates and may vary based on actual weight/volume and current market conditions.
  • Volumetric weight applies for lightweight but bulky items.
  • Managed delivery may be available for select destinations at additional cost and subject to route review.
  • If you have your own freight forwarder in China, select "I have my own Forwarder" at checkout for free domestic delivery.

Landed-cost handoff

Model unit price, domestic freight, export handling, shipping, duties, inspection, packaging, and buffer before choosing a supplier route.

Why rates drift

Most bad shipping decisions start before the forwarder sees the goods.

Buyers often compare freight numbers before the supplier has confirmed packing, carton marks, QC release timing, or whether the lane should be air, courier, rail, LCL, or consolidated export.

Supplier only quotes unit price and ignores domestic pickup, carton dimensions, export handling, and destination charges.
A low freight number is based on estimated weight, then changes after goods are packed or measured by the carrier.
The buyer pays before QC, but the forwarder receives mixed cartons, missing labels, wrong SKU quantities, or weak export documents.
Several suppliers ship separately when one consolidated LCL or courier handoff would lower risk and make tracking easier.

Five-step control file

From rough request to controlled freight decision.

Step 01

Stabilize the cargo brief

Confirm SKU count, quantity, destination, target date, carton assumptions, sample status, and whether goods are single-supplier or consolidated.

Step 02

Collect weight and carton proof

Request carton dimensions, gross weight, net weight, inner quantity, packing photos, label needs, fragile notes, and any battery or compliance flags.

Step 03

Compare route choices

Compare courier, air, rail, LCL, FCL, FOB, EXW pickup, and DDP by timing, customs responsibility, cost exposure, and margin impact.

Step 04

Attach QC and release gates

Do not separate freight from inspection. Define what must be checked before the balance is paid or cartons are released to a forwarder.

Step 05

Turn the rate into a handoff

Move the decision into a sourcing/RFQ file with supplier links, carton data, target landed cost, preferred lane, and unresolved shipping risks.

Commercial Handling

These ranges are planning estimates only. Final freight responsibility, merchant billing instructions, and any shipping payment request are confirmed against the specific order file after packing.

Next best action

Send the product, carton, and destination details. We will turn the rate into a sourcing decision.

Use this when the buyer needs to compare lanes, verify carton data, control multi-supplier consolidation, or understand whether the supplier quote can protect margin after freight.
